Al Arabi start with win, Al Wakrah continue good run
Qatari clubs earn convincing results on second day of the Asian Club Championship in South Korea.

Qatar’s Al Arabi club opened their campaign in the 22nd Asian Club Handball Championship in Samcheok, South Korea, in great style by defeating Iran’s Zagros Club 40-24.
Arabi, the reigning Emir’s Cup champions, never once showed any signs of trouble in their Group A game and were always in firm control.
Meanwhile, Qatar League champions Al Wakrah notched their second win in Group A with a 34-26 verdict over Kuwait’s Al Arabi.
Both Arabi and Wakrah will play their next matches on Sunday. While the former will take on Kuwait’s Al Kuwait Club, the latter will take on Saudi Arabia’s Al Wehda.
The annual competition brings together 11 teams from around the continent. The winners will directly qualify for the 2020 IHF Super Globe Tournament in Saudi Arabia.
