‘Aspire, a medical and academic masterpiece’
Qatar’s world-class facility impresses Kuwaiti delegation led by the country’s National Olympic Committee chief.
Qatar’s prestigious Aspire Zone came in for high praise from Sheikh Fahad bin Nasser Sabah Ahmad Al Sabah, President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee (KOC) during a visit to the facility on Sunday.
The KOC chief, who was taken on a tour of the Aspire Academy, Aspetar, and Aspire Logistics, said, “Aspire is an architectural, medical and academic masterpiece, and it’s something all Arabs can be proud about. We’re aiming to have such a model in Kuwait very soon.”
The KOC chief and his delegation was accompanied by Hilal Jeham Al Kuwari, President of AZF, Ivan Bravo, Director General of Aspire Academy, Abdullah Nasser Al Naemi, Director General of Aspire Logistics, Ali Salem Afifa, Deputy Director General of the Academy, Khalid Al Mawlawi, Chief Administrative Officer at Aspetar and a number of other senior officials.
At Aspire Academy, the delegation was introduced to the world-class services and facilities designed and operated to the highest international standards and aimed at nurturing talented student-athletes. The delegation also visited the new Football Performance Centre.
The Kuwaiti delegation was also impressed with Aspetar, the orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, and its state-of-the-art rehabilitation services.
