Gulf Cup draw in Doha on Wednesday
Khalifa International Stadium confirmed as venue, teams to hold training sessions at university stadiums.

The draw for the 24th Gulf Cup, kicking off in Doha on November 27, will be held at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel, the Pearl, on Wednesday.
The Competition Committee of the tournament met on Monday to confirm the venue of the tournament and finalise details regarding practice venues.



Khalifa International Stadium has been confirmed as the venue of the five-team tournament that will run till December 9. The committee also decided to utilise various university stadiums as training venues.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Hameed Al Shaibani (Yemen) and it was attended by Ahmed Al Harami (Qatar), Hamid bin Sulaiman Al Jabri (Oman), Shihab Ahmed Jabara (Iraq) and Ali Hussein Al Mutairi (Kuwait).
Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Kuwait and Yemen are the participating nations.
Oman are the defending champions, having beaten the United Arab Emirates in the final in Kuwait two years ago.
