Qatar table tennis teams bag silver, bronze medals
Basketball and handball teams, which had ensured their titles with a game to spare, finish unbeaten with fine victories.

Qatar’s table tennis team won a silver medal in the sixth edition of the Women’s GCC Games, currently underway in Kuwait.
The side had opened its campaign on Friday with a 3-0 win against Saudi Arabia but were unable to repeat the feat against Bahrain, who won the gold.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s doubles team, comprising Maha Ali and Khulood Abdul Redha, took bronze.
Taekwondo fighter Kulthum Al Mutawa won another silver for Qatar, in the Under-49kg weight category.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s basketball and handball teams, which had both ensured gold medals with a game to spare, completed their outings undefeated. While the basketball team defeated Kuwait 92-55 in its last match, the handball side emerged 32-12 winners against Bahrain. They received their medals on Saturday.
