Qatar’s Adel all set for new challenge in France
The seasoned campaigner will take part in the 24-hour Tout Terrain de France off-road event for the first time.

‘An exciting new challenge and a great experience’. This is how Qatar’s Adel Abdulla viewed his forthcoming outing in the 24-hour Tout Terrain de France Championship at the Circuit de Fontaine-Fourches.
The event will be held on September 14 and 15 and Adel will turn out for MMP (Micouleu Mecanique Precision) Rallye Raid Team in the T1A category.
Adel, who skipped the T3 category of this year’s FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas in August, spoke about his new challenge.
“I’m happy to take part in this race for the first time and to be in a T1 car. Maybe it’ll be the start of something else. The target for the team is to win. We hope to come up with a good strategy through the 24 hours and obtain a good result. I’m looking forward to the weekend,” said Adel.

The Qatari had high praise for his team.
“MMP is one of the best teams in France. They’ve good experience of cross-country,” he said.
Adel joins forces with the well-known French off-road racer Matthieu Serradori and team-mates Benjamin and Cedric Bujon as the team hopes to steer the Ooredoo-supported Buggy to a win on the challenging off-road circuit.
T1A is the largest of all the categories on the final round of the championship. Adel and his team will race against the likes of Philippe Boutron’s BV4 Nissan and Jean-Pierre Strugo’s Optimus MD. The race will also feature a guest driver appearance for five-time Dakar winner Cyril Despres.
